IVF Sunshine Coast and IVF Caboolture were established to help you achieve your dream - to have a child.

We are fully accredited and experienced local teams, whose goal is to offer the best possible service for couples experiencing any form of sub-fertility. Both units are affiliated with the Queensland Fertility Group, one of the most experienced and successful groups in Australia.

In April 2006, the unit moved to a new, purpose-designed facility at Lake Kawana, in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. The unit forms part of the Kawana Private Hospital complex, again newly established in 2006. Our staff currently comprises of three clinicians, four scientists, four IVF nurse co-ordinators and three receptionist and administrative staff. A consultant urologist performs any procedures required for male sub-fertility treatment, and a clinical psychologist provides counselling for our clients. A liaison officer was appointed in October 2006, whose role is to provide a link and channel of communication between IVF Sunshine Coast and GPs and other medical organizations on the Sunshine Coast.

Introduction

Subfertility Specialists Queensland

IVF Sunshine CoastIVF Caboolture was established in November 2007.  Our staff currently comprises of five clinicians, two scientists, one IVF nurse co-ordinator and one receptionist.   A consultant urologist performs any procedures required for male sub-fertility treatment, and a clinical psychologist provides counselling for our clients. Our liaison officer provides a link and channel of communication between IVF Caboolture and GPs and other medical organizations in Caboolture, Redcliffe, and surrounding areas.
Our laboratories are fully equipped for all standard assisted reproductive techniques, including embryo culture and freezing, ICSI (semen injection) and semen analysis, preparation and storage. Embryo biopsy for Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) is performed by our senior scientists. The units also offer egg freezing, only recently available in Australia.

Couples requiring fertility assessment and treatment can obtain information from the units through their local family doctor, by talking to their gynaecologist, or by contacting the units directly. See First Steps

Click To Call Me NOW! Depending on the nature of treatment required, couples may be seen at their own gynaecologist's office, or at the IVF unit. Simple procedures such as ultrasound scans are carried out at the gynaecologist's rooms, or by the nursing coordinators at the units. Egg retrievals are carried out at Kawana Private Hospital theatre or Caboolture Private Hospital theatre. Embryo transfers are done in the IVF units, and donor or husband sperm insemination is usually carried out at the IVF units by nursing staff. Male sub-fertility procedures, such as sperm retrieval from the testis or epididymis, are done at the Sunshine Coast Private Hospital or Caboolture Private Hospital.
